Development of the in vitro microculture systems based on microfluidic perfusion of liver slices

Development of the in vitro microculture systems based on microfluidic perfusion of liver slices

By Postdoc Maciej Skolimowski, RUG

The primary aim of the project is to develop systems that can be used as a “golden standard” for benchmarking bioartificial live tissue viability and function. The other goals are to increase the number of metabolites and other analytes determined in the liver slice cultures and to integrate tissue culture and analysis into single microsystem. This microsystem will be also used for quality control of the engineered bioartificial liver tissue developed by the other partners in NanoBio4Trans project.
